A Light to the Nations ministry renovates homes for Kirehe residents

Residents of Kirehe district have expressed heartfelt appreciation to A Light to the Nations, an Evangelical ministry, for its support in renovating their houses.

The philanthropy work was part of a 4-day crusade Miracle Gospel Harvest organised by the ministry in collaboration with an inter-religious forum in Kirehe district. The crusade runs from March 7 to March 10, 2024.

Protas, one of the residents whose home was renovated, excitedly said that the relief came when the family was afraid of an unexpected disaster due to the fact that their home was not in good condition.

Another resident, Appolinaire, echoed his sentiment saying that he doesn’t have a lot to say other than thanking the good leadership of the country that engages good partners in transforming the lives of Rwandans.

Bruno Rangira, the Mayor of Kirehe District, alongside other district officials officiated the philanthropic activity.

In his remarks, Rangira appreciated the ministry and called on other faith based organisations to remain engaged in the similar philanthropic activities to actively support the government in transforming the citizens’ welfare.

The mayor recognised the good collaboration between A Light to the Nations and churches in  Kirehe district under which impactful activities were carried out recently such as evangelism and community awareness to fight drugs and unwanted pregnancies.

Rangira commended the ministry for preparing the souls and the body so that the people of God may stay righteous and healthy in the world.

On behalf of A light to the Nations ministry, Pastor Dr Ian Tumusime explained that the ministry focuses on three main pillars, including proclaiming the gospel, strengthening the body of Christ, and helping the less privileged.

Philanthropy is an assignment to the church and particularly it falls under our ministry’s third thematic area, he added, thanking district officials among other grassroot leaders for their strong collaboration in the preparation of the crusade.
