For gospel lovers, it is always an enjoyable evening when a special and intimate praise and worship concert lifts one’s spirits.
This is what happened on Sunday, September 24, when local worshippers thrilled hundreds of people who attended a ‘back to school prayer’ live concert titled ‘Tujyane Mwami’ at Dove Hotel in Gisozi.
Besides energetic performances by the popular James and Daniella, Josh Ishimwe, Danny Mutabazi, True Promises Ministry and Joe Musinga, the show was one of its kind where food was served to re-energise performers and gospel music enthusiasts.
Also, two students from vulnerable families got a chance to be supported. K Square HR company will pay for their school fees. Beneficiaries include Jean D’Amour Uwizeyimana, who has speech and hearing difficulties, and Emmanuel Nizeyemana, who passed national exams but failed to get school fees.
Kabiru Wamiti, Chief Executive Officer of K2 HR company, thanked God for making the event more successful as well as everyone who was present.
“Sunday’s event was successful. We thank the people and artistes who attended. The performing artistes gave their best and attendees were very delighted. We thank God and look forward to the next edition,” Kabiru said.
He explained that sharing food at the event was an opportunity to allow participants to create friendship.
The Chief Executive Officer said: “Concerts take long and a lot of energy is required to actively participate in such events. It also allows the audience to network, which may result in great friendships being formed.”
The event was hosted by anointed and skilled gospel figures Issa Noel and Tracy Agasaro and participants included public figures like Dieudonne Munyanshoza, Aline Gahongayire, and Nice Ndatabaye among others.
The ‘Tujyane Mwami’ live concert was organised to pray for students who began their new academic year on Monday, September 25, 2023.
The organisers explained that when students return to school, they need everyone’s prayers to pray for God to be with them and fill them with wisdom.
The show ended at 10:45 pm.
