Gospel artiste Christine Igihozo recently released a new song, “Waratsinze” loosely translated, “You conquered.”
In the song, the singer focuses on the victory of Jesus who conquered death and brought salvation to those who believe in Him.
“Jesus, God’s son, you conquered death. I am thankful. He is the way, Truth and Life. He is the light for those who believe in Him. He conquered death, I too will conquer,” reads the lyrics.
The artiste explained that she got inspiration for the song in the dream and later got convinced that she would work on it and spread its message to many.
She featured Yves Rwagasore in the song, and she describes the singer as a good worshipper who can easily sing and make people feel the presence of God.
Igihozo, who started singing at the age of 8, ventured into solo music in 2021. So far, she has released 3 songs including Umusaraba, Tegereza and this latest one. Her songs focus on the message that comforts people’s hearts.
She was born in Tanzania as a second born of 4 siblings, she is a member of Eglise Evangelique Gilgal au Rwanda.
In her music journey, the artiste has her role models including Taya Gaukrodger and Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
