ADEPR Nyarugenge Shalom Choir is set to feature famous gospel artiste, Israel Mbonyicyambu at their recently announced praise and worship live music concert scheduled for September 17.
The Choir released these details in an updated poster confirming that indeed the star will perform at the live music show titled, “Shalom Gospel Festival.”
The festival will allow gospel music lovers to worship with the popular musician free of charge at the 10,000-seater BK Arena, Rwanda’s historic indoor arena, a first of its kind in East, Central Africa. Doors will be open at 12pm.
It will be held with the theme found in John 14:2: ‘In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.’
Shalom Choir is one of the best gospel music groups in the country. Back in 2018, it won the Choir of the Year prize during a fade-out gospel tournament ‘Groove Award.’
The award-winning choir based in Pentecostal Church of Rwanda (ADEPR), Nyarugenge parish was founded in 1985 as a children’s choir composed of Sunday school kids. Thirty years later, the Choir released its first audio-visual album.
It is known for its passionate songs such as Nzirata Umusaraba, Uravuga Bikaba, Icyizere, Mfite Ibyiringiro, and Nyabihanga among others.
In addition to evangelism, the Choir is involved with charitable activities to support vulnerable citizens.
