American gospel star Travis Greene expected to perform in Kigali

Organisers  of the ‘The Kigali Praise Fest 2022 edition’ have announced that American gospel star, Travis Greene, will have his first ever performance in Kigali on December 4.

The award-winning singer will be in the country on the invitation of RG Consult, a local events management and experiential marketing company.

The Kigali Praise and Worship Fest was born in 2019 and was meant to be an annual event. However, its progress was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 Its comeback, after two years, is good news for gospel music lovers in Kigali and in the region.

This year, the festival is back with a host of a popular and esteemed worshipper, Greene.

The ‘Kigali Praise Fest 2019 Edition One’ featured American worship music legend, Don Moen, and it was organised by RG Consult in partnership with telecom giant MTN Rwanda.

Greene is commonly known for his songs including Nara featuring Nigeria’s Tim Godfrey, Intentional, You waited, Made a way, among others.  

Greene was born in Dover, Delaware, United States. But he has made plenty of performances in the West African region. Furthermore, he has collaborated with artists from Nigeria in his music projects.

He is an evangelist and gospel musician with a massive following. His great music has received mass airplay and earned him several accolades.

The musician has also appeared in the Top Gospel Song charts, featured on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums, and has earned several awards.
