CityLight Foursquare Church is set to hold a colourful ceremony for the installation of pastors, apostolic missionaries, church elders, evangelists and deacons.
The ceremony is scheduled for October 2, 2022 at the CityLight Foursquare Church in Kimironko, starting from 10: 00 am to 1: 30 pm.
Solange Masengo, the wife of the Church’s Senior Pastor, Bishop Fidele Masengo, will be installed as a pastor alongside musician Benjamin Serugo and Noel Nkundimana.
Renowned evangelist James Huduma, Scovia Muzirankoni and Alice will be installed as apostolic missionaries, while Augustin Muhirwa, managing director of Tele 10 in Rwanda, and Evangelist Felix Bideri, the President of Abayumbe in the Great Lakes region, will be installed as church elders.
According to Bishop Masengo, the members were selected based on their calling, commitment, attitudes and character and their zeal to serve the Kingdom of God.
Masengo describes the installation as a symbol to the growth of the church, adding that serving God is what we were all created for.
He quotes 1 Timothy 3 to highlight the importance of the responsibilities to serve the Kingdom of God.
“Serving the Kingdom of God is a good task because we were created for good works and nothing else, we can do better than serving our Lord,” he noted.
The Bishop added that pastoral, deacon, apostolic missions are tough tasks. However, it’s not by our knowledge or strengths that help accomplish these duties.
Masengo noted that these responsibilities require more effort, commitment and prayers and encouraged the congregation to support the servants of God to successfully accomplish their duties.
Reacting to his new role, Nkundimana quotes Luke 10:2 “And He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant, but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.”
CityLight Foursquare Gospel Church of Rwanda, a branch of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, was established in 2005. So far, the church has over 30 branches countrywide and over 25 pastors.
