Believers, church leaders and the general public in Rwanda and neighbouring countries will soon experience a moment of blessing, spiritual growth, life transformation, and miracles as international Evangelist, Dag Heward Mills, from Ghana will minister at a three-day ‘Healing Jesus campaign’ in the City of Kigali and Southern Province of Rwanda.
The campaign is expected to run from September 22 to 24 at Tapis Rouge in Nyamirambo and Muhanga district and was organised in partnership with Rwanda Interfaith Council.
Evangelist Heward, who is expected in Kigali next week, will chair seminars for church leaders from different denominations and ministers during the crusade.
In December 2018, Ev. Heward, in partnership with other pastors in Rwanda, staged two ‘Healing Jesus campaigns’ in the Districts of Huye and Musanze.
With his open and loving heart for the people of Rwanda, Ev. Heward has invested USD 2 million to translate 60 of his books to Kinyarwanda. And in 2020, he gave out 3000 sets of these as a free gift to church leaders and workers all over the country.
According to church leaders, the donation has made an impact in developing their biblical knowledge.
Ev. Heward is an international bestselling author of over 100 titles. He has planted 3000 churches (the Lighthouse Chapel International) in more than 90 different countries worldwide with three of them in Rwanda.
Organisers of the upcoming event on Wednesday, September 14, met the press in Kigali to provide more details about this highly-anticipated crusade.
Bishop Kwame Yirenkyi Ampofo, Senior Campaign Director for Ev. Heward started his remarks by thanking His Excellency Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, for his leadership.
“I want to thank God for the life of President Paul Kagame, you are a man loved and admired not only by the coming visitor and his ministry but the whole of Ghana,” Bishop Kwame said.
Kwame explained that during the crusade, the speaker, Ev. Heward, will preach good news of Jesus Christ, and pray for the sick, adding that when the speaker meets pastors, he will discuss church growth, planting and unity.
He clarified that there will be no distinctive worship teams, choirs or artistes, but instead the event will be graced by a mass choir bringing worshippers from various denominations as part of strengthening unity among them.
“Healing Jesus Crusade is going to be a period of strange and peculiar blessings for residents of Kigali and the hundreds of people who will travel to Rwanda to hear from Ev. Dag,” he noted.
Bishop Kwame witnesses that during Healing Jesus campaigns, the visually impaired see, people with hearing complications are restored, and impaired speech rectified.
He believes that preaching of the pure word of God will fashion the minds of thousands and deliver into their hands their Godly Heritage.
“There will be salvation, healing and deliverance,” he added.
Bishop Kwame invites the general public to never miss this awesome period of powerful life changing sermons and incredible demonstration of the power of God working through his servant Evangelist Dag Heward.
According to Julienne Kabanda of Grace Room Ministries, hosting such an international evangelist is a blessing to Rwandans. “It’s a privilege and I believe God will use Evangelist Dag to bring changes in the lives of many.”
Pastors’ conference will take place at Ev. Dag’s own state of the art Cathedral, the Lighthouse Chapel International, at Gahanga from 7 am to 12 pm whereas crusades will start at 4 pm.
