Gospel journalist Frederic Byumvuhore, on Friday, October 29 tied the knot with his lover Nelia Mukashyaka.

Byumvuhore is a gospel reporter for a local website that focuses on publishing gospel related information and news.

He also formerly worked for The New Times Rwanda, in addition to contributing to a number of media outlets in China as a guest writer.

The wedding took place at Nazarene Church, his home church located in Remera, Kigali.


Here, the ceremonies like dowry, reception and prayers were conducted, in attendance of relatives, close friends, colleagues, and other invitees from the sides of both the bride and groom.


Talking about the achievement, Byumvuhore echoed his gratitude to God for reaching the step.

“First of all, I thank God Almighty Father in Heaven,” he said.

“I have a lot to say because I am grateful. Getting married is a level of significance to anyone’s life. This is a good step to thank God for,” he added.


“From childhood to husband, there is a long journey of struggle, success and failure, but that is what life is about. I thank God for bringing me to another level of life. God has been a faithful helper. He’s always been there for me. I thank Him for yesterday, today and tomorrow.”

He also recognized relatives and friends’ support to make his wedding a success.


Byumvuhore is also a member of True Promises Ministries.


Currently, he works as a communications officer at Umuhuza, a local NGO. His bride Nelia works at Rwinkwavu District Hospital in Kayonza district.
