Wave Lab: New recording studio to benefit church and gospel singers

Gospel singers, choirs and churches are in for a great opportunity to record quality music, thanks to Wave Lab, a new Christian music studio in Kigali.

Located in Kimironko, near Simba Supermarket, the facility is run by Fabrice Nzeyimana, an experienced musician and technician who has worked with various artistes, assisting them to polish their skills and make more of their talents.

He is also the Director of Worship and Creative Arts at Christian Life Assembly (CLA) in Nyarutarama, Kigali.

Wave Lab is equipped with professional music instruments and elegant equipment for making high quality music, including live recording, where the studio can host up to 60 people at once.

It is important to note though, that due to Covid-19 preventive guidelines, only 20 people are allowed inside currently.

Nzeyimana invited musicians and churches to come and work with the studio,

“Churches can now support their choirs to record their albums live, or even come and record their online services, as long as they respect Covid -19 regulations,” he noted.

Nzeyimana believes that the studio will solve the issue of space in studios, which is specifically a challenge when it comes to live recording of music,

“Most studios are small and it’s hard to bring a team to record, respecting the Covid-19 measures. But in our case we have enough space to allow good social distancing,” he said.
