“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”Psalms 27:4

This is a beautiful psalm expressing deep desire to be in the house of the Lord. It is true that being in the place built for God’s name is an amazing experience that is to be desired. However, it is also good to remember that God is omnipresent, His presence is wherever He is, which is everywhere.

With the ongoing pandemic, we are getting used to a different lifestyle, and however it is or will be, God should still be the center of our lives. This is a good time to check our hearts and see how strong is our personal relationship with God. Prayer (and fasting), reading the word of God, congregating with saints; among others are disciplines that believers develop to strengthen their relationship with God.

With church services being limited none or online (for those who are able to), those who are truly seeking the Lord are diving in the word of God, and having amazing times of prayer.

It is a time to see if one has been following people at church instead of God. Have you been going to church because you want to show people that you are a Christian? To please your parents? To please your spouse? To please your pastor? To pursue someone you are interested in? This is a time to realize that you are to seek and please God, and God alone. A time to grow in your relationship with God to the point you feel His presence everyone you are.
