TV presenter Mimi has dedicated a Christmas song to Rwandans and friends. The song, titled Merry Christmas, was produced in partnership with Neema and Shema.
Mimi is the host of a weekly gospel program broadcast on TV1 every Sunday from 8:00 am. The show is titled ‘the Gospel Vibe.’
A mother of one is married to Rwanda’s celebrated gospel Deejay Evans Mwenda known as DJ Spin. From an early age, she loved music and dancing. She loves Jesus and she couldn’t imagine a life without Jesus.
As the festive season gets closer, in addition to preparing Christmas gifts, this is Mimi’s special moment to reflect on the Love of Jesus, the Savior of the world.
Mimi has prepared a special gift of a song to all people-believers and non-believers.
Talking to the Gospel Time Rwanda, she said that the song was designed to bring the joy and happiness ahead of festive season to everyone and the family.
“This song is dedicated to both the believers and the non-believers. It’s all about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. He was born to save the world,” Mimi pointed out.
In addition to the Christmas wishes, TV presenter reminds people of their safety during festive season, as the world is facing difficult times due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
She said, “Be safe. Don’t be attracted to the festive hype. It’s good to celebrate but don’t forget to be safe. Everyone should observe the precautions of COVID 19.”
She is also about to release two videos and five audio songs. “I will be more active in releasing more songs, new cooperation and organizing music events in 2021.”
Mimi also revealed that she will soon joining the film as an actress.

“The song came in as I was catching up with my friend Neema and talking about Christmas preparations. So, we consulted producer David and Boom. Later, Shema intervened as a talented male singer, adding flavor to the song with a strong voice, and he did a good job,” she added.
Mimi also thanked producer Fefe for making a beautiful video and the Euromart Supermarket for participating in the recording.
Last but not the least, she said:“I am very grateful to my husband DJ Spin for his strong support to the project. His support is very overriding.”
Briefly about DJ Spin
DJ Spin is a brilliant deejay who specialises in Christian music. He was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, where he acquired his first primary education, and partly in Uganda, before he returned to Rwanda.
He holds a degree in biomedical science from Makerere University, in Uganda, and masters in public health from Mount Kenya University Rwanda.
DJ Spin has won a number of awards. He hosts TV shows, and gospel mix radio shows among other activities.
