His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way towards him and find him, though he is not far from any of us. For in him we live and move and exist… – Acts 17:27-28a
Acts 17 is one of those chapters you have to read all the way through to truly grasp, but the message is clear and refers to God.
“For in Him we live and move and exist.” Our purpose in seeking God is not about making a deal or even listening to the message because we have to; it is about living a life that represents who we are in Christ. It’s about learning as much as we can about that identity so we can fully embrace it.
Paul’s message here is a reminder that we belong to God, not as idol worshippers, but as life-changing members of His family. Our faith is meant to serve as a reminder to all we encounter that He is never far from any of us. All we have to do is reach out to Him.
