PICTURES: Bethesda Holy Church consecrates pastors, deacons and evangelists

Two Pastors, a husband and his wife, 16 deacons and six new evangelists were on Saturday consecrated to serve Bethesda Holy Church in Gisozi.

The ceremony which took place at the Bethesda Holy Church’s headquarters in Kigali, Gasabo District attracted thousands of believers including Bishops, pastors, choirs among other family members who came to witness this extraordinary moment.

In front of the congregation, the consecrated servants have vowed to serve the church with integrity, humility, accountability and courage.

In his sermon, Rev.Patrick Joshua Twagirayesu, Senior Pastor of Calvary Temple Church preached about the duties and positive values that should characterised Church of God as well as the servants of God.

Twagirayesu reminded that the congregation on unity, team work to serve the church of God.

“Church is not an association or a cooperative. It needs a spiritual order in its leadership. It is not a personal owned shop; instead it is God’s business.

He cautioned the deacons not to seek the promotions in their duties nor waiting for Pastors’ recognition, but work to ensure that their works are recognised before God.

They were also reminded that there is a crown for them only if they accomplish their duties accordingly.

“God does not care about the title or position. God cares much about what motivates you to do what you do,”

Anointing the newly ordained pastors, Bishop Albert Rugamba of Bethesda Holy Church described the action holy and that the oil is for success.

The newly ordained pastors include Fidele Habimana and his wife Marie-Claudine Nkulikiyinka.
